Robobo: Process

Character design, and the real life 3D realisation of those designs, is a passion of mine. My doodles often involve characters, people, things, animals. This is often not the focus of my professional work, but when I can I like to push these ideas further. Robobo is the result of such an endeavor. After sketch-development, a CAD model was knocked up and a fully-mobile model was produced using Stereolithography, a popular Rapid Prototyping technology I have extensive experience with. With moving parts and the ability to hold specific positions, the robot is ready for photographic stop motion animation.
